Achieving operational Alpha is simpler than you think - All You Need is a Plan. SS&C Geneva®, our portfolio, fund, and investor accounting solution, releases a series of product enhancements twice a year to help our clients streamline operations and take advantage of market opportunities.
Highlights of the October Release
In a recent episode of our SS&C Advent Tech It Up podcast, co-hosts Trent Berry & Jasmin Conner sat down with Karen Meehan, Senior Manager of Product Management, and Patrick Mooney, Senior Client Success Manager, to understand how Geneva clients can take advantage of the latest features in the October 2024 release.
Throughout the conversation, Meehan and Mooney emphasized that, like all releases, these enhancements are a culmination of engaging with our clients to understand their pain points, while taking a proactive approach to opportunities in a growing market. Meehan and Mooney are excited to share a few items in particular:
- Managed Migrations: Reconciling accounting data is a manual process that takes time. For Managed Services clients, we are now offering Managed Migrations to provide Geneva clients with a seamless upgrade experience, so your team can take advantage of the latest features and functionality with less risk.
- Loan Servicing Workspace: This new Workspace enables users to easily manage loans and transactions all in one place, displaying all credit facilities. Within the Workspace, clients are provided tools to review and update contracts, credit activities, trades, and positions for each facility, streamlining operational workflows.
- PIK: Clients can now set up PIKs that pay quarterly and cash that pays monthly, no longer needing to manipulate the data themselves.
- Swaps: Support Dual Basis Financing on swaps where the reference index accrues based on opening notional value and the spread interest accrues based on market value notional, adjusting daily.
- Investor Fee Calculations: Construct and implement bespoke performance fee structures for complex funds with Investor Fee Builder.
Sneak Peek into April 2025
The Geneva team strives to deliver actionable enhancements for our clients to ensure operational alpha. As we invest in our roadmap, both Meehan and Mooney provided an inside look at what’s to come in April’s upcoming release. Building on the October 2024 release, the development team is working to further enhance our Investor Fee Builder by introducing custom waterfall calculations.
